NotebookLM is an AI-powered research assistant that helps your teams speed up learning and unlock more ideas. Relying on sources provided by your organization — documents, PDFs, Google Drive files, videos, audio recordings, etc. — NotebookLM becomes an expert in the field of data, allowing employees to generate ideas and create a centralized knowledge hub. This helps teams stay up-to-date with the latest information, accelerating learning with AI-generated podcasts.
People can also get information on the go with audio overviews, podcast-like conversations with AI hosts that highlight key findings.
NotebookLM and NotebookLM Plus are now included as core services for Workspace Business and Enterprise customers. All sources you upload, including the ideas and prompts that teams use in your notebook, are subject to the Google Workspace Terms of Service. As a core service, NotebookLM will have the same enterprise-grade data protection and level of technical support as other core Workspace apps.

Last year Google announced that you can automatically generate captions for any video uploaded to Google Drive, improving video accessibility and saving the effort of creating captions manually. Building on this feature, the Google Workspace team is introducing video transcripts to make it easier to find and reference useful information in your video content stored on Drive.
Now you can view transcripts and search for words in your videos. The transcript appears in a sidebar next to the video player and highlights the text that is currently being spoken. This update makes it easy to find specific moments, follow along with the content, or jump directly to the part of the video you need.

Search Drive transcripts for keywords and phrases.
Starting research on a new topic can be difficult. The Internet is a vast sea of information, and it’s not always easy to separate the useful from the useless, especially if you’re researching a concept for the first time.
Gemini Deep Research, now fully rolled out to customers, explores complex topics and presents its findings in a comprehensive, easy-to-read report, giving you hours of research in minutes. Delve into industry trends, understand the competitive landscape, research customers before a sales meeting, or even get help as a teacher in planning curriculum and lessons.
Whether you want to explore a new concept or delve into details, Deep Research creates a customized research plan to track down the right information. It starts with the general context and then narrows down to the details to give you a complete picture of any topic.
And, like any good research assistant, Gemini is open to development and collaboration. You can accept the research plan as is or make changes to customize its search strategy.
Gemini’s search queries evolve as it learns more about the topic, just as you might change keywords after reading a few results. With each search, Gemini focuses even more on what it’s looking for.
Deep Research uses Google’s time-tested search algorithm to find high-quality sources from reliable sites, helping you find great sources on the web that you might not have found on your own. And each source is linked as a citation in the report, so you can click on it, check the source, and read more. Want to delve deeper? Gemini can run more searches and update its report with additional information on topics of interest to you.
Deep Research doesn’t consider the job done after the first report. Gemini can answer questions about what it found and modify its report based on your feedback. If you need more details on a subtopic or just want to delve into an interesting topic, Gemini will help you.
The first round of research often leads to new questions — and Gemini can help with those too. Start a new search on a related topic or ask clarifying questions in chat. If Gemini can’t answer your question right away, it will do additional research to find what you need.
Deep Research makes it easier for you to find the information you need from high-quality sources with a single query. Export your report to Docs to share with the whole team, or return to the conversation with Gemini when curiosity strikes.
Whether you’re delving into new industry trends, literature review, or competitive analysis, Gemini can help you create a well-researched report in record time. It offers powerful, prepared research at your fingertips, and also offers a glimpse into how Gemini continues to become more agentive, performing complex tasks on your behalf.
